Thank you for the opportunity

Hey good people, :)

Hope you have been keeping well.  So today am just musing on how many times I have used this phrase in the last few months of 2018. Seems like saying no is becoming as natural as saying yes since I was such a yes person. :)

A job that isn't line with my goals and future aspirations... Thank you for the opportunity...

A job that  will make me feel used..... Thank you for the opportunity...

A friendship that is one sided....Thank you for the opportunity...

An invite that was made last minute like an after thought.... Thank you for the opportunity..

I smell any negative vibe... Thank you for the opportunity...

Sitting to gossip and judge others.... Thank you for the opportunity...

I want to stay indoors and not accept an invite.. Self care= Self love and sometimes is necessary.Thank you for the opportunity

I cant afford something.... Thank you for the opportunity... am done people pleasing.... You think whatever you want to think..

Toxic person / Environment... Thank you for the opportunity...

"When you know better, do better", wise words from Ms. Oprah Winfrey.

Thank you for the opportunity :) #NO!

Cheers!!!

Love and light,

Aunty Jane :)

Hey good people,

I guess consistency is not in my vocabulary lately *hides* but there is a reason and a very good one at that :) anyway glad to be back. I also believe in writing when you have something to say is that wrong? I guess not..

Anyway, lets dive in. I think everyone needs an Aunty Jane kind of friend in their life. You see my Aunty Jane is not my biological Aunty but a very good close friend of my mum she has been for
 over 30 years.

You see my Aunty Jane is very stylish has class and has an even bigger heart. She still looks like she is in her 30's if not her 20's. :)

I love her to bits, you see Aunty Jane was my mum's best maid during her wedding even before I was born ( be sure am not mentioning my age:)) and she has remained a true and steadfast friend through the years. She has been a friend  to my mother through all the seasons as life sure has its hills and valleys.  Instead of drawing further away as most people do during difficult seasons she drew closer to us and embraced us with her love.Without getting into too many details, not even about her relationship with my mum but my relationship with her which she was soo intentional about. Thank you Aunty Jane :)

Aunty Jane is the kind of lady that when I was abroad, she had a layover of a few hours at an airport where I was staying and she contacted me before coming just to inform me that she would be coming and she would love to see me.It didn't happen as her layover was short and I was working the night shift that particular day. But the thought really count.

Aunty Jane is still the one who looked for someone in that city to ensure that I am comfortable and well taken care of in case of any emergency since I knew no one there. You see she didn't have to but she did and my mum didn't even ask her to do so. It was out of her free will. All the times I have been unemployed Aunty Jane has been my biggest cheerleader trying to get hold of all her contacts to see if there is any opportunity available for me. She doesn't ask  for my C.V for the sake of it no.. She is very intentional. I cant even begin getting into deeper details of what she has done lately but I surely hope that God will bless her as she blesses others :)

She really challenges me in my friendships. I really hope I can emulate her. Do you have an Aunty Jane kind of friend in your life can you challenge yourself to be a friend to be like her?

Love and Light,

Miss Wainaina.
